How to activate TYPE EDIT / LASER TYPE (SOFT DONGLE)

Steps below allow retrieving the “Fingerprint” of your PC in order to generate the license to use the Software:

1. Open the following URL from your web browser: http://localhost:1947/
2. Make sure that in the column “Actions”  “Fingerprint” is available for the 63166 vendor, if not contact your Support Helpdesk.
   If you are requested to provide a V2C file then go to the “Configuration” Menu on the left and check if the “Generate C2V file for HASP key” is shown checked. If not checked then proceed with its activation.       
3. In the “Sentinel Keys” page, click on “Fingerprint” to create the Customer to Vendor (C2V) needed to generate your license.                                                                                                     
4. Save the C2V file with the name of the computer’s user, for example: John’s_PC.C2V . Then send this file to the TYPE3 team you are in touch with. In return, you will receive a xxx_xxxxx.V2C file to apply on your workstation.
5. To apply the V2C file, go to the “Update/Attach” menu on the left, then click the “Select File…” button and select the V2C file you received. Finally, validate by clicking on “Apply File”:

   

6. A message in the window confirms that the license update has been applied successfully. You are now ready to use the Software!
